Dar LMallouki is a small, traditional Moroccan house just minutes from the medina's famous Bab Boujloud. The house has many original architechtural elements and lots of examples of local artisanal workmanship. It's very well-situated and the rhythms and rituals of life in the medina are never more than a few footsteps away. Dar LMallouki is just one of Fes' treasures as you will soon discover when you visit.

Mr. & Mrs. LMallouki have worked for nearly 5 years to restore this quintessential example of a medina home. Their Moroccan and American cultures have nicely blended to help bring back the original beauty of the house while making guests feel comfortable and at ease in an ancient walled city that is unlike any other place on earth.

Dar LMallouki has four bedrooms with double beds, three of which also have the traditional Moroccan sofa that can be easily converted into a single bed. There are two double rooms on the ground floor (one with an en suite bathroom and the other with the bathroom across the courtyard) and two double rooms on the upper floor. One of the upper floor rooms has an en suite bathroom. All bathrooms have been updated to reflect modern tastes and preferences.

Depending upon your needs, the rooms can be enjoyed individually or the entire house can be shared with family and friends.

    My boyfriend and I have just had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful house, a truly beautuful place which made our stay in Fes very special. The house is ideally located by Bab Bou Jeloud and is a cool retreat from the summer heat in the medina. We spent our evenings chatting with Hassan and his friend on the roof terrace, sharing their delicious foodand learning about local culture whist listening to the prayer calls - very magical moments! Hassan and his friend were excellent hosts who encouraged us to treat the house like our own, which we did. They were also able to give good advice about our future travel plans (and very importantly were not all pushy). I have visited Morocco many, many times and I can't recommend this place enough - We will be back!
